Udawatta Kele Sanctuary Udawatta Kele Sanctuary or the Royal Forest Park of Kandy is situated on the hillside behind the Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Tooth Relic. This forest extends about 257 acres and is considered to be a vital Bio reserve for the muchpopulated Kandy City.
The forest is rich with vegetation consisting of the canopy, sub-canopy, and an underground layer. The dense plant life restricts sunlight from reaching the ground soil surface. The underground layer mostly consists of the seedlings of the canopy layer species and creepers that reach the top of the canopy layer trees.
There is a giant 200 300 years old “Pus Wela” or ‘Entada pusaetha’ liana in the forest. The important places in Udawatta Kele are the water Pond, the Highest peak “Kodimale”, The Senkanda Cave, and the Garrison cemetery. There are also several Buddhist temples and hermitages inside the forest reserve.

Morning Visit to the Temple of Tooth in Kandy Most often referred to asthe hill capital of Sri Lanka,
Kandy offers a diverse variety of experiences to its visitors ranging from history, culture and simple scenic beauty coupled with a touch of urbanity. It was the last Sinhalese Kingdom that fell under British rule in 1815. The journey to this mellow weathered city can be quite enjoyable,
particularly by train owing to the scenic delights that lie alongside. The city’s colonial architecture has been preserved well even in the backdrop of rapid urbanization.
Close to the city’s center is the prime landmark - Sri Dalada Maligawa that houses the sacred tooth relic of Buddha. Apart from the ancient monuments of the Kandyan era, the delightful jumble of antique shops and the bustling market in the city also make up for interesting places of visit.
Proceed on uphill 2500 Meter above sea level to Nuwara Eliya soon after Train Journey via Visit Tea Factory & plantation. Train Journey - The train trip from Kandy to Nanuoya operates every day and takes approximately 4 hours (Afternoon Train – 12:00 Hours).
Among the best tourist attractions in Sri Lanka, taking a train journey is definitely a must for a taste of Sri Lanka’s surreal landscapes. If you’re seeking a beautiful and not so long train journey, the excellent option is the train ride departing from Kandy and arriving at Nanuoya.
This famous trip will take you straight into the heart of the hill and tea country where the greenery covers the surroundings. As the train meanders through the lush green mountains and narrow tunnels, tourists will be immersed in the sweeping views of manicured tea plantations, dense vegetation, and steep-sided valleys.
If close enough, you can even see Tamil tea pickers in colorful sari popping out of vibrant tea bushes. Nuwara Eliya City Tour Dubbed the ‘Little England of Sri Lanka’, Nuwaraeliya is located in the thick, misty hills of this paradise isle, 180 km away from Colombo. The summer resort of Sri Lanka, it is one of the few areas where the colonial atmosphere is preserved,
still resembling a British countryside complete with rose gardens, hedges and red-roofed bungalows.

On the Way to Yala just passing the very beautiful City called Ella. Ella, which literally translates into ‘waterfall’ is a name fit for this little town located in a hilly nook, owing to its stunning vistas richly adorned with cascades that trickle down its rugged terrains. Located some 225km away from Colombo, Ella offers some of the most scenic sights available in Sri Lanka.
It is perfect for those who enjoy nature and outdoors fun as it offers ample opportunities for trekking expeditions. Little Adams peak Hiking Little Adam’s Peak in Sri Lanka is one of the most epic things to do in Ella. The peak can be hiked easily without a guide, as there is a marked path that leads you up the mountain, with plenty of signpoststo show you the way.
The peak is not to be confused with Adam’s peak, which is a little way away and a considerably tougher and longer hike. It gets its name from Adam’s peak because this mountain replicates its shape, in a smaller form.

It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and lies in Southern Province and Uva Province. The park covers 979 square kilometers (378 sq mi) and is located about 24km northeast of Tissamaharama. There are five blocks in Yala National park and People can only visit block I and II.
Ruhuna National park or more affectionately known as Yala, has been the most celebrated wildlife park in Sri Lanka for over a century.

Bundala National Park is an amazing labyrinth of thorny scrubs, waterways, lagoons and golden sand dunes.
A one-of-a-kind location where the land, sea and wetlands meet, Bundala is particularly popular among birders as it is a wintering site for migratory birds.
The park is home to a diverse variety of wildlife including the spotted deer, the rare pangolin and playful grey langur monkeys.
The picturesque lagoons of the park are alive with color as the fine-feathered creatures fly inland to rest and feed. If you are lucky, you might be able to witness the rare sight of a mother turtle that has arrived ashore to lay eggs in the darkness of the night! The ideal time of the year to visit the Bundala Park in all its glory is during this period There is also a Spectacular man-made tank in Tissamaharama - The Tissa Wewa – which Hosts many birds throughout the year. in Hotel Visit Galle Fort: On arrival, enjoy sightseeing tour in Galle Discover the history of the Portuguese Located in the Southern province, the city of Galle is a living time capsule.
Home to the largest occupied Fort in Asia, its quaint beauty extends beyond its golden beaches and cerulean waters.
The main attraction of Galle no doubt is its ancient Fort, which instantaneously takes the visitors back to the Dutch Colonial era. One can bask in the picturesque views and the rich history while walking through the narrow, cobbled streets, relish a meal from one of the interesting restaurants within the Fort or enjoy the cool sea-breeze beneath the landmark lighthouse. Stilt Fishing is one of the most interesting traditional fishing methods of Sri Lanka. Records indicate that it came into being just after World War II. This mode of fishing was more widely used all along the coast until the tsunami in 2004 which caused such activities to cease temporarily until recent years. The beautiful sight of fishermen perched branched poles as they fish skilfully during dawn, noon and dusk; can now be commonly along the southern coast in towns such as Koggala, Kaththaluwa and Ahangama.
Occasional stilt fishermen can also be seen amongst the waters of Madu River.
